Chia Kim Huat, Danny Lim and Chia Lee Fong from the Corporate & Capital Markets Practice acted for China Animal Healthcare Ltd. ("China Animal Healthcare"), which is listed on the Main Board of the SGX-ST, in its issue of US$40 million convertible bonds and S$7 million placement shares to BCP/CAH Holdings (Cayman) L.P., a Cayman Island entity formed by Blackstone Capital Partners V L.P., which in turn is a Delaware limited partnership advised by a subsidiary of The Blackstone Group ("Blackstone"). Established in 1985, Blackstone is a leading global alternative asset management and financial services company with total assets under management of US$104.5 billion as of 31 March 2010. Stirling Coleman Capital Limited acted as arranger to China Animal Healthcare.
Based in the PRC, China Animal Healthcare is principally engaged in the business of manufacturing, sale and distribution of animal drugs. The Group is one of the leading players in the PRC animal drugs industry with 13 proprietary product brand names for powdered form drugs, injection form drugs and biological drugs.
